Apple has tonight released a new SMC update for its Retina MacBook Pro customers. Recommended for all users of the device, the company notes that the update “resolves a rare issue where users may experience slow frame rates when playing graphics-intensive games on the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display.”
The small update also includes bug fixes for Mountain Lion‘s “Power Nap,” feature, alongside fixes for the machine’s ‘wake from sleep’ function, and fan control.
News of the update’s release follows just hours after a report surfaced claiming that Retina MacBook Pro customers had bound together to file a class-action lawsuit against the company, over an (alleged) issue relating to the notebook’s LG-manufactured display.
The new update can be downloaded directly from Apple.com, weighing in at 504 KB.
