Yes, T-Mobile USA has (finally) landed Apple’s iPhone.
Pegged by CNET yesterday, T-Mobile USA has this afternoon announced it will begin stocking various models of Apple’s iPhone in the coming weeks — starting with the latest iteration of the company’s smartphone, the iPhone 5.
The telecom provider, which just held its “Uncarrier” event in New York City focused around the idea of the carrier ‘no longer acting like a carrier,’ announced that – starting April 12 – U.S customers will be able to get their hands on the iPhone 5 for just $99.99, (plus a 24-month wireless contract at $20).
In fact, T-Mobile is already offering the ability for those interested to register on its official website in order to receive notification as to when the handset will go on sale.
“This is an important day for people who love their iPhone but can’t stand the pain other carriers put them through to own one,” said John Legere, President and CEO of T-Mobile USA. “We feel their pain. I’ve felt the pain. So we’re rewriting the rules of wireless to provide a radically simple, affordable iPhone 5 experience — on an extremely powerful network.”
Those not interested in picking up Apple’s iPhone 5 though, shouldn’t fear, as the the company announced that it will also be offering up both the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. These handsets will sell in the terms of either; a handset price of $69.99 (up-front) and $20 payable per month for 24-months, or: a handset price of $14.99 (up-front) and $15 payable per month for 24-months.
