Following the unveiling of Apple’s minimalist new ‘iOS 7’ banner at Moscone West, MacRumors forum member ‘StupidBoy1000’ has tonight shared a second banner to go up at the developer-focused event, this time showcasing that Apple will talk about the next iteration of OS X during Monday‘s keynote.
The second banner follows the same ‘minimalist’ design as seen on the just-unvieled banner promoting (what we would presume) is the final preview of iOS 7, but interestingly the banner only appears to show the “version” number of the OS, rather than Apple’s usual ‘cat’ branding.
UPDATE: Super-Minimal ‘X’ Banner Also Spotted
Our friends at MacStories have also shared a super-minimal, (probably) Ive-inspired ‘X’ banner inside the building. But, what does it mean?
UPDATE 2: First Image Is Fake
We’ve just been informed that the first image is a fake. The image uses the just-unveiled iOS 7 banner – (which is not a fake) – to create a flip-image, using modified typeface.
Apologies about that.
Has Apple finally dropped the ‘Cat’ branding of its desktop OS?
