Briefly: New iOS 7 Icons Show Up On Apple.com, Could Further Prove Stock Icons Will Change Before Final Release

Perhaps arriving as yet further evidence that the designs of those stock icons seen in iOS 7 may not be ‘set in stone,’ our friends over at 9to5Mac were earlier today able to capture a screengrab of (what could be) an alternative set of stock iOS 7 icons.

Seen on Apple’s official website, the site reported:

“Apple has quietly changed some of the icons on its official iOS 7 website, making notable changes to the Weather, Passbook, and Reminders apps.” … “iOS 7′s icons, which have been subject to much scrutiny and disapproval from various designers, have been one of the largest complaints about iOS 7 so far.”

The two icons of particular note here are the Passbook and Weather icons, which it would appear Apple may be considering alternative colour schemes – (and in some cases, different layouts) – for.

The revealing of the possible new iOS 7 icons on Apple’s official website, arrives just hours after TheNextWeb broke an exclusive report hinting that the icons developers are seeing in the first beta version of the software, may not be final.

The icons have since been removed from Apple’s website.
