Clark Kent is a humanoid alien who after being transported to Earth from the dying planet of Krypton, was adopted as a child by Jonathan and Martha Kent. Raised with the values of his adoptive parents, he feels alienated because of his unique super powers and struggles to find his own place in life. When the world is attacked, he becomes the hero named Superman to protect Earth and its people.
Produced by Christopher Nolan and scripted by David S. Goyer, the latest instalment in the Superman movie franchise arrives as a reboot to the original Superman film series, with the movie’s focus this time heavily revolving around giving movie-goers a better understanding of Superman’s origin story.
In the official game, General Zod has begun the invasion of Earth and only the “Man of Steel” can stop him. Aiming to utilize the powers of Superman to fight your way to victory and save the planet from certain destruction, you’ll battle through; attacking, dodging, blocking, and taking advantage of your various super powers, including; flight, super speed, and even heat vision, in an attempt to defeat Zod and his evil forces.
Players will see themselves faced with the choice of either playing through an in-depth “Story Mode,” or instead setting themselves a personal “high score” which they can brag about, in the game’s intense “Survival Mode.”
“Battle a challenging cast of mini-bosses and technologically advanced foes featured in the film,” the game’s official description reads. “Become Superman like never before!”
Citing that the game delivers next-generation visuals which will take advantage of every pixel on your iPad‘s display, the studio says you should prepare for “beautifully detailed” animations and cinematic sequences, as well as “interactive 3D environments” including; Smallville, the Kent Farm, (and more).
Man Of Steel is available for $4.99. The app has been designed specifically for iPad and arrives alongside the Warner’s second-screen app – Man of Steel Experience (not yet available) – which was just updated with access to even more great Superman content including; a unique look at incredible Kryptonian ships in 3D.
