Following in the footsteps of British Airways who recent also updated its iPhone app to better integrate with the feature, Air France has this week updated its iPhone client to support the saving of boarding passes to Apple’s Passbook app.
The feature will see those who fly regularly with the airline able to now add their boarding passes to Apple’s Passbook app, for quick and easy access when they need to be shown to airline representatives. Plus, thanks to iOS 6‘s ‘show on lock screen’ feature, this also means that passengers can have Passbook call up their required passes onto their iPhone‘s lock screen just in time for arriving at the airport.
Looking to the future, the new support will also allow passengers to manually scan their physical coupons and boarding passes into Passbook, using their iPhone‘s own camera and iOS 7‘s new ‘Scan to Passbook’ feature.
Air France 4.5.1 is a FREE download from the iTunes App Store.
