Here’s your first Saturday night app deal!
Qiwen Zhang‘s all-in-one document reader and manager, Pocket Briefcase Pro, is seeing a generous $5 reduction in price tonight, going FREE (for a limited time).
The app supports the import of both photos and documents stored in your iPhone‘s on-board camera roll or Photos app, as well as from email attachments, and online services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, SkyDrive, Box (and more).
However, the app isn’t just good for importing. Pocket Briefcase Pro will even allow you to download and upload files from either Dropbox, Google Drive, Box and SkyDrive, meaning you can keep everything that’s important to you in as many places as you want, and have access to them whenever – and wherever.
As for supported viewing document types? – Pocket Briefcase Pro will let you view all kinds of document types which use normal extensions, such as: PDF files, Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel and Powerpoint), iWork documents (Keynote, Pages, Numbers), image files (JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, etc), and plain text files. Using the app you can access any media you might have stored, too. In this regard, Pocket Briefcase Pro supports the playback of MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, AIFF, WAV audio files, alongside video files with file extensions such as: MOV, MP4, and M4V.
If you need to email the files you import or view using the app, you’ll be pleased to hear that you can do this, too. All files which are viewable by the app can be directly e-mailed from Pocket Briefcase Pro. The app even has a “Wi-Fi Sharing” function, in case the person you’re sending the file(s) to also has Pocket Briefcase Pro installed.
For the security conscious and those working in data-sensitivity environments, password protection is also supported. Setting up Pocket Briefcase Pro‘s ‘Passcode’ function will see the app require the password you set whenever you (or someone else) starts-up the app.
