Apple’s “Back To School” promotion is an annual event in which the Cupertino, CA company offers those students which find themselves eligible App Store gift credit, with the purchase of either a qualifying Mac or iPad.
This year — for the first time since the promotion started — Apple is expected to extend this offer to those students (and faculty staff) who purchase an iPhone.
“The promotion will give eligible students an iTunes [or] App Store gift card with the purchase of a Mac, iPad, and for the first time, an iPhone. The gift cards that come with Mac purchases will be worth [$100] while the cards accompanying the iOS [devices] will be worth $50,” Mark Gurman reports for 9to5Mac.
According to the report, this year’s promotion is expected to go live sometime this week – possibly even as soon as tomorrow. Once live, UK students will be able to find out more at Apple UK.
