Those who have installed iOS 7 (Beta 3) may be experiencing the usual bugs and crashes. These are a given considering the software is not considered final.
But there is one crash issue which has a pretty simple fix.
Instagram works pretty well on iOS 7 (Beta 3) — (at least for viewing). However, try to launch the app’s built-in ‘camera’ to add that latest shot you just took at the beach, and you’ll soon be back to your homescreen.
To fix this, you just need to head to Settings > Privacy > Microphone from your iPhone‘s homescreen, and then switch the option ‘Instagram’ to “ON.”
Once this is complete, relaunching Instagram, (and its built-in “camera” mode), should no longer cause the app to crash back to the homescreen.
The fix was discovered by Twitter user and software engineer – @TylerNol, and reportedly relates to the official Instagram app still using a ‘selector’ which is set to be “depreciated” with the launch of iOS 7, this Fall.
if instagram is crashing on iOS7b3 for you, go to settings>privacy and enable microphone access, it is using a selector iOS7 deprecated.
