Despite estimates on its website stating otherwise, it would appear that Apple’s top-of-the-line, totally redesigned Mac Pro, which was put for sale through its web store – earlier this week, has begun shipping to some customers.
AppleInsider were the first to pick up on the revelation, which – despite demand for the machine amongst industry professionals (and home owners) seemingly outstripping the initial supply Apple had on hand, will now see some who originally placed an order for both the “quad-core,” and “6 core” versions of the professional desktop, receive them about a month earlier than stated.
The first Mac Pro orders have started shipping, according to reports across Twitter.
But, we wouldn’t get too excited.
If you happened to place an order for a custom configured model of Apple’s new top-of-the-range desktop, likelihood is that your original shipping estimate is still accurate, with Apple now realistically expected to start shipping these models to customers – beginning next month.
