Ahead of its expected public release, later this year, Apple has this week seeded the first build of OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 to its registered developers.
OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 (13D12) asks developers to specifically focus their testing efforts on both Graphics Drivers and Audio, with the build also containing preliminary support for native “Retina” resolutions for some 4K displays.
Other than that, little details are known regarding the changes that have been made in the build. As ever, Apple notes that the software is considered “pre-release,” and thus, developers looking to find out what’s changed in this build should refer to the seed note for more details and installation instructions.
The update can be installed by heading over to the Mac App Store’s “Updates” tab, or alternatively, can be downloaded directly from the Developer Center providing you hold a Mac Developer Program membership.
