Covering Web is reporting that Muscle Nerd, who is part of the much larger, ever-anonymous Dev Team has today announced that Comex, also founder of the ‘Jailbreak Me’ exploit, will try to pull a trifecta by releasing a userland jailbreak in the coming weeks.

BREAKING: The Dev Team Announces It Will Not Provide Jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2

TUAW is reporting that the Dev Team, the team of mostly anonymous iOS developers and programmers who are responsible for making software capable of removing certain restrictions from Apple’s iOS mobile operating system freely available to the public, has announced it will not be providing a jailbreak for users running 4.0.2.

Over the weekend you may remember we gave you the heads up that Apple had patented methods in which to detect when one of it’s iOS-based devices was under unauthorized usage. The patent clearly described this “unauthorized usage” as anything from the theft of the device to performing a “jailbreak” on the iOS software.
