    “Evasi0n” Jailbreak Goes Live

    • February 4, 2013
    iOS6-walledgarden

As expected, the iOS 6.1 jailbreak, “Evasi0n,” has just gone live in the last hour. The jailbreak uses an “untethered” method, which essentially means that if a user turns their device “off” and back “on,” the device will start up completely, and the kernel will then be patched without the help of a computer – (in other words, the device will be jailbroken after each reboot).

Revealing the official name of the iOS jailbreak method at the end of last month, Pod2g, Planetbeing, MuscleNerd, and Pimskeks – (or the “Evad3rs,” as the group will be known going forward), will reportedly release their long-awaited, ‘untethered’ iOS 6.1 jailbreak – later today.

    • December 24, 2012

iDownloadBlog’s Jeff Benjamin details this impressive tweak, (above). Back in October, you may remember we brought you a concept – (via The Verge Forums) – which depicted a new, reimagined look at Apple’s iOS app switcher. The concept was originally posted by a user called ‘Sentry,’ and showed a future vision for how the iOS app switcher may come to evolve in future iterations of the OS.

Replace Apple’s Intelligent Assistant ‘Siri,’ With Google Now – [JAILBREAK]

    • November 8, 2012

You saw this one coming, right? Yes, you can now replace Apple’s personal assistant – Siri – with Google’s newly-launched, (arguably better) “Google Now”-powered voice assistant. Well, we say replace. Siri is technically still present in the background of iOS, but a new jailbreak-available tweak – called NowNow! – aims to create the illusion that ‘Google Now’ is actually your iPhone‘s default personal assistant.
