According to TUAW, Barrons did some digging on that Wi-Gear acquisition rumor, contacting the company’s acting CEO, Mark Pundsack. Turns out, Apple hasn’t acquired the company, nor has it been in talks to do so.
Hopefully more app developers will start offering this ‘TV-Focused Gaming’ experience soon! There is no word yet on a release date for the TV-capable update to The Incident, but the developers have been moving very quickly with updates to the game and will likely be pressing forward to have it in the App Store as soon as possible.
