Mark your calendars people, as this Friday only Apple will be holding a worldwide shopping event to celebrate the U.S tradition of “Black Friday”. Held once a year, Apple’s Black Friday Sale is usually home to sales on a variety of the firm’s product lines, including iPods, Macs, iPads and their accessories. This year the sale may even extend to the iPhone, too.

Greg “Jos” Joswiak, Apple Vice President of Worldwide iOS Product Marketing – (credit: Flickr) Speaking at the UK event ‘Silicon Valley Comes to Cambridge’ earlier this week, Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide iOS Product Marketing, noted four critical lessons he had learnt during his time working for the company. Highlighting what he believed were the four key aspects which kept Apple head of its competitors, he stated that the company was run by simplicity, focus, courage and, most importantly, a commitment to ‘being the best’. Noting how Apple had become a $30 Billion company with a product line consisting of just 30 or so products, Joswiak stated “I don’t know if that’s ever been done before.”
