Launching this week, Filters! is one for the Instagram generation. Featuring ‘world-leading’ photo filters developed by camera lens manufacturer Formatt Hitech, the app (much like the firm’s physical camera filters), has been designed to provide ‘stills’ photographers with further versatility when taking photos on-the-go, while also providing creative capabilities and editing effects without the need to be back at the studio.

In what would appear to be an industry first, Amazon has this afternoon announced “AutoRip” – a new service from the global retailer that aims to extend its music offerings by allowing those customers who purchase physical CDs to receive access to the MP3 versions of the tracks contained on the CD purchased, absolutely FREE.

Announced during the company’s September 12 media event, Apple’s fifth-generation iPod touch has – (over the last serveral hours) – moved from shipping in ‘October’, to within “3 weeks.” The change in estimated shipping times for some users signals that the company may be preparing to actually begin shipping the device to those who originally preordered more than 3 weeks ago.
