If you cast your mind back to last week, you may remember we gave you the heads up on what’s new in iPhone OS 4.0 (Beta 4). Among the new system wallpapers and built-in tethering support for AT&T customers, the update seemed like a minor one.

You may remember in early May we gave you the heads up on software engineer David Wang and his exploit for the iPhone 3G, which allowed him to run an almost complete version of Android on the device.

Well, I’m not sure if this is deemed illegal or not, but a certain website has recently come to my attention, which offers users the ability to mass download iPhone OS 4.0 (beta 3) in exchange for a donation via @Paypal.

Tonight, Apple has released the second beta revision of its iPhone OS mobile operating system. iPhone OS 4.0 (Beta 2) with a build number of 8A248c and weighing in at 355 MB, hit Apple servers about an hour ago now – and if you thought beta 1 was bad, think again ..
