About a year ago, I came across a project on the crowd-funding site Kickstarter. Let’s be clear. It wasn’t the first project I’d backed on the site, so I knew what I was (potentially) getting into when I clicked that ‘Back this project’ button.
Just a quick note for fans of IFTTT (If This, Then That). In this new and emerging age of ‘smart wearables’ and wrist-top notifications, we thought it best to keep up – and that’s why, starting today, we’re making it possible to get wrist alerts for every new post we publish. We’ve gone ahead and setup an IFTTT recipe which allows anyone who may own a Pebble smartwatch, (or other Bluetooth-enabled smartwatch), to receive an immediate alert on their wrist whenever we publish a new post. The company behind the most-successful Kickstarter campaign, ever, has this week released a major bug fix update for its smartwatch – the Pebble.
Some of those lucky enough to have already received their Pebble smartwatch may have experienced some serious issues when trying to update the wrist-worn device to firmware version 1.9 at the end of last week.
